What ages do you care for?
We care for children from 6 months to 5 years old.
Is Wonder Thinkers a licensed dayhome?
Wonder Thinkers is a licensed and approved family dayhome operating under Little Steps Academy Agency.
How many children are in the group?
We have a licensed maximum of six children, so every child is known, watched closely and given real one-on-one moments.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Where are you located?
We are in Shawnessy, Southwest Calgary, and we also serve nearby communities including Evergreen, Millrise, Somerset, Silverado, Belmont and Walden. Our exact address is shared privately with enrolling families.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
Yes. Wonder Thinkers provides meals along with morning and afternoon snacks, with varied, child-friendly menus. Dietary needs and allergies are discussed individually with each family.
What do children learn at Wonder Thinkers?
Learning happens through play, guided by Alberta's FLIGHT framework and an emergent curriculum shaped by each child's interests. That includes early literacy and numeracy, science and discovery, creative and sensory play, outdoor play, and practical life skills.
Is Teacher Marge first aid certified?
Yes. Teacher Marge holds Alberta First Aid certification.
